The increase of passengers to the Queenstown area has given the airport operators the opportunity to expand part of their baggage handling services. A new building that will be starting soon is expected to optimise passenger handling.

Airport Information
NZAP – Taupo Aerodrome.
Taupo is a small aerodrome that has a very active parachute drop zone. It's close to the eastern side of Lake Taupo.
NZFI – Fielding Aerodrome.
Fielding Aerodrome is close to Palmerston North Airport. Its single sealed runway is easy to find by following the railway tracks in either direction.
NZCX – Coromandel Aerodrome.
Coromandel has a single grass runway with hills rising to the south east. Takeoffs on runway 12 are prohibited due to the hils.
